The 2016 General Meeting of the National Bargee Travellers Association (NBTA) will take place on Saturday 19th November 2016 at 11am to 6pm at the Friends Meeting House, 28 Regent Place, Rugby, CV21 2PN. All members are welcome.
The main purpose of the General Meeting is for the members to decide what the NBTA will do over the coming year and to elect Committee members.
If you would like to nominate yourself or another NBTA member to join the Committee please contact secretariat@bargee-traveller.org.uk or 0118 321 4128. There are currently 6 Committee vacancies. The job of the Committee is to carry out the decisions of the General Meetings and the management of the NBTA. The Committee meets every three months at different places convenient for the members.
We are also considering establishing several working groups such as campaigning, casework, publicity and administration and we invite members to come to the meeting and put yourselves forward to be on one of these groups.
In addition, if you would like to propose motions to be debated and decided on at the General Meeting please make these known in writing to the Secretary by Friday 28th October 2016.
